Instagram is shutting down Threads App it is a Snapchat-like messaging service that launched in 2019. As a result of the update, users will start seeing a prompt to move back to the original Instagram app

Instagram has separately begun enabling select users to add music to their feed posts, just like how it’s already possible with reels and stories. Along with Brazil and Turkey, India will be one of the first countries to test the new feature.

Instagram will stop supporting Threads at the end of December, according to TechCrunch. From November 23, users will see an in-app notice about the company’s departure.
