Because Pakistan lacks the infrastructure required for electric vehicles, especially considering the country’s reliance on fossil fuels for power generation; Indus Motor Company CEO Ali Asghar Jamali stated on Monday that hybrid electric vehicles provide a potential solution.

“We can safely declare that HEVs can serve all of the aims of EVs, including carbon emission reduction, oil import bill reduction, localization, and GDP increase, using the present power generating mix,” Jamali noted in the Auto Industry Media Workshop 2022.
The event was arranged by Indus Motor Company. It examined hybrid and electric car technology to discover which is now the better option for Pakistan.
