Internet connections were affected across Pakistan amid rumours that the federal government had decided to suspend them in light of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march.

The administration has issued an emergency instruction to suspend mobile phone service in 11 regions across the country.

Gujarat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Khushab, and Mianwali are among these districts. Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bhakkar are all cities in Pakistan.

As a result, mobile phone services will be unavailable till evening.

PTA had previously stated that they had received no official directive from the government to cease mobile services across the country.
