List of future smartphones to be released in May 2022

In the month of May, we may expect many smartphone launches from companies such as Sony, Samsung, Vivo, OnePlus, and others.

Vivo has just released the Vivo T1 Pro 5G and Vivo T1 44W smartphones (Wednesday). Let’s see what the next smartphones in May 2022 have in store for us.

Smartphones to Expect in May 2022

Vivo T1 Pro 5G

Vivo T1 Pro 5G and T1 44W have previously made their debut in India as part of the Vivo T1 series.

The Vivo T1 Pro 5G will include an AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

A 64MP main lens, the Snapdragon 778G SoC, and a 4700mAh battery with 66W rapid charging capabilities are among the phone’s key features.

It also comes with an 8-layer liquid cooling system and runs Android 12 OS.

Vivo T1 44W

Vivo T1 44W has an AMOLED display and is powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor.

The smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W rapid charging. It comes pre-installed with Android 12 OS.

iQOO Neo6 SE

The iQOO Neo6 SE will be released in China on May 6 (Friday).

The smartphone would most likely have a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ punch-hole OLED panel display. The display boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 1200Hz, as well as HD10+ certification.

This smartphone will include a 64MP primary camera with optical image stabilization. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and a 4,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging technology.

ZTE Axon 40

On May 9, smartphone manufacturer ZTE will unveil new handsets in China under the Axon 40 series.

The Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra are believed to be the forthcoming smartphones. For hardware-level security, the series will include an independent security chip.

The Axon 40 Pro will have a 100-megapixel camera, while the Axon 40 Ultra will have a 64-megapixel triple camera system and a 16-megapixel under-display selfie camera with 2.24-m pixel fusion technology.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is expected to power the series.

Sony Xperia 1 IV

The Sony Xperia 1 IV is set to be unveiled on May 11 at the company’s launch event.

The smartphone is expected to include a 6.5-inch 4K display, 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and HDR capability.

It will also have a large 5,000mAh battery with 45W rapid charging capability. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC will be combined with 12GB of RAM to power the gadget.

The phone is expected to include a triple camera system from ZEISS.

Vivo X80

The Vivo X80 series, which has already made its debut in China, will be available on May 8 in Malaysia and May 18 in India. The Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro are the two smartphones in the series.

The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro will both include a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits of peak brightness, and 100% P3 color gamut.

The standard X80 Pro, on the other hand, has a QHD+ resolution panel. The X80 will include a Dimensity 9000 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery under the hood.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a 4,700mAh battery power the X80 Pro. The phones feature 80W fast charging and come pre-installed with Android 12.

A 50MP IMX866 sensor, a 12MP shooter, and a 12MP sensor will be included in the X80’s triple camera system.

The X80 Pro, on the other hand, will include a quad-camera system with a 50MP GNV 1G sensor, a 48MP sensor, a 12MP shooter, and an 8MP sensor. Both devices will come with 32MP selfie cameras.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G

The Galaxy A13 5G is set to debut later this month. It has received numerous accreditations. On its official website, Samsung has also created a help page for the smartphone.

Model number SM-A136B was discovered on the gadget. A 6.5-inch PLS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution will be included.

The phone will include a 50MP triple camera system and be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It might run on Android 12 OS.

OnePlus Nord 2T

OnePlus is anticipated to release a new smartphone this month named the OnePlus Nord 2T. The smartphone will most likely succeed the Nord 2.

It will include some improvements over its predecessor. The smartphone has recently appeared on a few certifications.

The gadget is expected to come with a 50MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and support for Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). An 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 32MP selfie sensor will make up the other camera.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC is slated to power it, along with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It’ll probably have a 4,500mAh battery and capability for 80W fast charging.

Redmi Note 12

The Redmi Note 12 series is expected to be released this month, as the firm has begun to tease the device. The Note 12 and Note 12 Pro are likely to be part of the series.

The series will premiere in China later this month. According to reports, the Note 12 series has received an upgrade that will improve its performance over its predecessor.

However, there is no information on what chipset the phones will use. The design and camera specifications are also unknown.

Samsung Galaxy A04s

The Galaxy A04s is likely to be released this month.

Renders of the smartphone have already appeared on the internet. In comparison to the Galaxy A03, the gadget will have a better design and specs sheet.

The Samsung Galaxy A04s will have a new design on the back while keeping the same water-drop notch on the front.

The smartphone will include a 6.5-inch HD+ display and a triple camera setup on the back. It will most likely be powered by an entry-level processor and run Android 12 OS.
