Xiaomi to Launch New Gaming Phones: Black Shark 5 series
Xiaomi is planning to release more gaming phones in the international market. The Black Shark 5 series was officially launched in China two months ago, and it will hit the global market on June 8th.
The Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro will be available in Malaysia first, followed by other markets. The news was confirmed by Black Shark Malaysia, and the launch would be live-streamed on its official social media pages on TikTok and Facebook.
The Snapdragon 870 will power the Black Shark 5, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will power the Pro variant. Both phones will have 144Hz AMOLED displays with 1080p resolution, HDR10+ compatibility, and 1o bit colors.
The Black Shark 5 will have a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 5-megapixel telemacro lens, while the Black Shark 5 Pro will have a 108-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and the same 5-megapixel telemacro lens.Both phones will have the same battery characteristics, which include a 4650 mAh power cell with 120W fast charging capabilities.
The global variants will have slightly different pricing, but we should expect a range of $400 – $600 for the two models.
