Ana Hunt will serve as temporary chancellor of the University of Arkansas — Pulaski Technical College when Margaret Ellibee retires on June 30.

Pulaski Tech’s associate provost since 2021, and registrar since 2019 According to the UA System, she will become temporary chancellor on July 1.

Hunt was the registrar at National Park College and Baptist Health College. She started her work as a student recruiting specialist and graduate assistant/residence life coordinator at Arkansas-Monticello.

Bobbitt said Dr. Hunt is the perfect person to head the university during this transition phase. Dr. Hunt will maintain Chancellor Ellibee’s good record and momentum until a new chancellor is named.

“It’s an honour that Dr. Bobbitt considered me for this job,” Hunt said. “My passion for students and this college’s mission is unrivaled, and I look forward to working with Dr. Ellibee’s wonderful team.”

A chancellor search committee was constituted in April. Richard Moss, dean of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at UA-PTC, heads the search committee, which comprises lawmakers, campus instructors, staff, alumni, and a UA Board of Trustees member.
