According to a Pakistan Telecommuncation Authority (PTA) employee, the Jazz service disruption was caused by several fiber network cuts. The official went on to say that the problem is only in the north.

A lot of Jazz consumers resorted to social media sites to express their dissatisfaction with the service. The issues varied from mobile and internet connectivity issues to signal loss.

Jazz Spokesperson told, “Multiple cuts in the Optical Fiber Cable caused degradation of our voice & data services at some locations in the North region.”

“Our teams responded swiftly to the situation, and all impacted services were fully restored quickly. We regret the inconvenience and appreciate our customers’ cooperation during this time”, he added.

Customers who were perplexed took to the company’s social media presence in search of answers. Some customers complained that Jazz’s customer service number was unresponsive.

Customers reported being without service for more than two hours in some cases.
