SPOTIFY Karaoke  appears to be working on a new function that will be of use to users who have a passion for singing.

The app’s new karaoke option allows you sing along with your favourite artists and rates your singing.

According to sources and social media screengrabs, the game is in a software update released this week.

Spotify hasn’t announced Karaoke Mode.

The streaming giant is rumoured to be working on a vocal test tool since 2019.

Spotify conducts testing to improve customer experience, a spokeswoman told The Sun.

You will need to upgrade the app by going to either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store in order to get access to the new mode.

Do not be alarmed if there is not currently an update available! It should arrive at your device within the next few days at the latest.

After downloading the update, open Spotify and select a song.

Lyrics scroll while the music plays.

Tap “sing” on the lyric sheet.

Launch Karaoke Mode. Spotify shows you missed notes.

At the end of the song, you get a % score.
