Xiaomi has announced that software and firmware upgrades would no longer be available for the Redmi Note 7, Redmi K20, Redmi 7, Mi Play, and Mi 9 SE, among other handsets (including security updates).

According to the Chinese corporation, cellphones on the End-of-Support (EOS) list may not even respond to security vulnerability reports.

According to Xiaomi’s EOS list, which was released on its official Telegram channel – Mi Fans Home, a handful of handsets would no longer receive software or firmware upgrades. Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 7, Redmi 7, Redmi Y3, Mi Pad 4 Plus, Mi Pad 4, Mi Play, and Mi 9 SE are among the smartphones on the list.

The MIUI 13 update will not be available for these devices. At the time of their launch in 2019, the Redmi Note 7 series and the Redmi K20 were popular smartphones in their respective categories.
