Another sneak peek at what appears to be a future iteration of WhatsApp with enhanced privacy features is available according to WABetaInfo.

Users of WhatsApp for iOS will soon have the option to keep their recent activity status and even their online status hidden from certain users or from everyone.

You can, for instance, hide your “Last seen status” from contacts who aren’t in your contact list using the messaging app.

The same reasoning is used to determine your online status for a different option called “Same as Last Seen.”

The development team is also working on a chat reaction feature and an edit button for texts.

In fact, a few of the features have already been released to beta testers in the general public. We don’t yet know when all users will be able to access these, though.
