Mark Gurman, the most accurate Apple leaker on the planet, says that the iPhone 14 will come out earlier this year than it did last year. This was picked up by our friends at The Verge (opens in new tab).

The iPhone 13 debuted in late September, but the iPhone 14 will be unveiled on September 7, after Labor Day. Next Friday, September 16, the phone will be on sale.

Apple is expected to release a large-screen iPhone this year, rather than a minor upgrade to the iPhone 13. According to rumours, Apple may release an iPhone 14 and an iPhone 14 Max.

In a separate “Pro” class, processing, camera, and other functions will be upgraded. The iPhone 14 Pro and Max.

The non-Pro phones will likely use last year’s A15 Bionic chip. If an updated A16 chip is announced, only “Pro” devices may use it.

Last year’s phone launch was in September, but supply chain issues could have delayed it. Late this summer, several phone launches caused supply concerns.
