A new Chromecast is about to be released by Google. Images of a new, less expensive Chromecast that resembles the Chromecast with Google TV can be seen in a collection of photos that were received by TecnoBlog.

At the time of this publication, major US shops were offering a $10 discount on the item, which normally retails for $50.

The Chromecast with Google TV that debuted in 2020 is aesthetically identical to this device. However, it has a different model number: G454V.

This model has already undergone FCC approval, and it is said to be unique internally.

The Amlogic S805X2 chip with AV1 compatibility and 2GB of RAM will power this upcoming Chromecast. While it is less powerful than the 4K variant, it is predicted to support an output resolution of up to 1080p.

According to WinFuture, this less expensive Chromecast is anticipated to include a voice remote as well.

At Google’s October 6 event, where it will officially unveil the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel Watch, and possibly some additional Nest Home gadgets, this new, more affordable Chromecast could make an appearance.

This low-cost Chromecast is expected to be launched at the same $30 price range and may be regarded as the new entry-level Chromecast.
