“The world’s first real flying car,” which will cost about £270,000, will soon be on our roads and in the air.

The Model A from Alef Aeronautics can still drive on roads, but it can also take off and fly over traffic jams to get around them.

The California company says that only their car can do this.

It uses the roads and parking lots of cities to get around, but Alef hopes that in the future it will be able to travel on sky highways.

The Model A will be delivered for the first time in 2025. Pre-sales started on Wednesday (October 19).

The Model A has a ground range of 200 miles and a flight range of 110 miles. It has been called a “solution to the issues of modern congestion.”

Alef Aeronautics says the Model A is ‘the world’s first real flying car’

The CEO of Alef, says, “The Alef Model is a modern solution for both urban and rural transportation needs in the 21st century because it is the fastest and most convenient transport ever created from the point of origin to the final destination.

“By enabling consumers to choose driving or flying mode, the Alef flying car allows the optimal path depending on road conditions, weather, and infrastructure.”

Since 2019, the company has been testing a full-size prototype of the Model A by flying it.

They told me: “It has a distributed electric propulsion system, no exposed propellers, a large software flight stabilization, and safety system, an elevon stabilization system, and all-wheel drive.

“Key safety components include triple to octuple redundancy of all key components, real-time thousand point diagnostics, pre-flight reject start diagnostics, obstacle detection, and avoidance, among others.”

Since 2015, the Alef team has been building a flying car with the help of a number of well-known investors.

They are also working on other models, like the Model Z, a sedan for four people that will come out in 2035 and cost £31,000.
