Moto G Edge and Razr 2022 will get an Android 13 update. A Motorola spokesperson has now provided a new list of 20 handsets that may receive the upgrade in the near future. The business intends to start rolling out select handsets in early 2023. Motorola has lagged behind its competition in terms of Android 13 distribution. Companies such as Samsung, Vivo, and OnePlus have already begun to release stable upgrades for their smartphones.

According to a Motorola representative on the official forum, the company has enlarged its list of smartphones set to receive Android 13. Along with other Moto G and Moto Edge series smartphones, it includes the foldable Moto Razr 2022. Motorola anticipates that all of the above handsets will begin receiving updates in early 2023.

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, Motorola Edge+ (2022), Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, Motorola Edge 30 Neo, Motorola Edge 30, Motorola Edge 2022, Motorola Edge 20 Pro, Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge (2021), and Motorola Edge 20 Lite are also on the list.

Moto G Stylus 5G (2022), Moto G 5G, Moto G82 5G, Moto G72, Moto G62 5G, Moto G52, Moto G42, and Moto G32 are the eight Moto G series smartphones set to receive the Android 13 upgrade. All of the handsets mentioned will receive the updates “after appropriate testing and clearances.”

In other developments, Motorola is preparing to unveil the Moto X40 flagship smartphone in China on Thursday. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powers it. The manufacturer has revealed that it contains a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast charging capabilities. At the launch event, Motorola also plans to reveal the MyUI 5.0 custom Android skin.
