This paneer recipe was Google’s most-searched dish released in the Year in Search 2022. Every year, the tech behemoth provides a list of what people have been sharing, both internationally and in particular nations. One component of the list details the top culinary recipes looked for throughout the year. This year, a paneer dish topped the global sales ranking. Any ideas? Paneer Pasanda here.

According to the list, most people looked for this dish in April. This curry-based recipe features paneer as the major ingredient. The dish, which originated during Mughal rule in India, is still popular in neighbouring countries such as Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Paneer Pasanda was included in Google’s “Top Recipes” section. The paneer dish topped the “top 5” list, with “bolo caseiro,” a type of handmade cake, coming in second. The third place was taken by Turkish savoury biscuits known as “Tuzlu kurabiye.” “Overnight Oats” came in fourth place. “Zimtschnecken,” a sort of cinnamon roll with German heritage, came in fifth place.

Paneer Pasanda achieved the first spot on the India-specific list as well. Modak, chicken soup, and malai kofta were all on the menu. Have you looked up the recipes for any of these dishes?
