Apple announced a new collection of educational resources on Tuesday to assist people in taking control of their data as Data Privacy Day approaches on January 28.

Apple has also teamed with Apple TV+ Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed in “A Day in the Life of an Average Person’s Data” to raise awareness about the issue of data privacy.

“Privacy is built into all of Apple’s products and services from the ground up, from the moment users open their devices to every time they use an app,” the company claims.

Apple goods and features incorporate innovative privacy measures that limit the amount of user data that anyone can access.

“This is why Safari throws trackers off the trail. It’s why the Health app keeps user records under wraps, and why Siri learns what the user needs rather than who they are,” said the tech giant.

These are just a few of the dozens of privacy features built into the foundation of every product and service Apple makes.

Apple believes that every user should have clear insights into how their data is used, as well as tools to determine when and with whom to share their data.

The amusing short film “A Day in the Life of an Average Person’s Data” encourages viewers to subscribe to Apple TV+. Ted Lasso follows Nick Mohammed through a typical day, illustrating how unscrupulous actors misappropriate data and how Apple strives to keep his personal information secure.

Apple’s commitment to openness and control, as well as privacy-protecting advances across its technologies, provides consumers with additional options and control over their personal information.

According to the company, teams throughout Apple are pushing this effort ahead on Data Privacy Day and every day.

Data Privacy Day is an annual international event held on January 28th.
