WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is experiencing a server-side issue that makes it impossible to adjust the privacy setting “who can see when I’m online” on iOS internationally.

According to WABetaInfo, this downtime is not the result of a faulty update.

It is currently unknown how many users are affected by this problem and what is causing it.

The company has yet to issue an official statement or provide any information about the cause of the problem.

According to the report, if someone’s online presence on the site is hidden, the current setting is safe, and no one can see when they are online.

Last October, the messaging platform experienced a global outage that lasted more than two hours.
