Meta’s popular messaging service, WhatsApp, is developing multiple features at the same time. Some are modest but useful upgrades to WhatsApp’s camera and photo editing tool, both of which are now accessible in the current beta version.

WhatsApp‘s camera section now separates photo and video recording choices. This should allow you to record videos without having to hold down the record button as previously.

To begin recording, slide to the “Video” option and tap once. Like other camera apps on Android phones, you can stop recording by tapping again. This allows you to switch between front and rear cameras while filming.

WhatsApp normally only makes new features available to a small number of users at first, but this is not the case with this update. It is already available to everyone on the most recent beta version, indicating that it will be available very soon.

More Photo Editing Options

Furthermore, WhatsApp intends to expand the photo editing tool’s text editing capabilities. This feature was also discovered in the most recent beta version.

This will make it easier to alter text inside pictures, movies, and GIFs, and you will have more font selections. For the time being, we have Damion, Exoz, Courier Prime, Morning Breeze, and Castiloga fonts to choose from.

However, these will be limited to the text editor and will not be available for status updates for the time being. There is no information on whether WhatsApp will introduce that feature in the future.

The additional text editing features should be available in a future update to the stable version of WhatsApp.
