The Pakistani automobile sector has seen turmoil in 2023 as a result of import restrictions and currency weakness. Numerous automakers, including Pak Suzuki Motor Corporation (PSMC), were forced to halt operations due to a lack of inventory.

The company is seeking to recover by reinstating all car reservations. PSMC now has an opportunity to enhance sales in the next months, following a poor result in January 2023.

Terrable Sale

Pak Suzuki‘s sales dropped last month as a result of the car industry’s difficulties. According to Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) monthly sales data, Pak Suzuki sold only 44 Altos last month, making it one of the worst sellers.

In comparison, in December 2022, the carmaker sold 3,864 Alto units. This is particularly noteworthy given that the company has sold roughly 5,000 Altos every month for the previous year and a half.

Pak Suzuki has had several non-production days in recent months, which has hindered sales of all of its vehicles. With only 671 units sold in January, the Wagon R was the company’s best-selling car.
