In its most recent iOS version, Meta-owned messaging company WhatsApp included the ability to create personalised avatars and use them as stickers and profile images.

According to WABetaInfo, some users may have previously been able to configure an avatar with the previous update, but it is now being sent out to even more individuals.

Users must go to WhatsApp settings to see if the feature is already activated on their account.

Additionally, the most recent version added the ability to shoot videos hands-free by swiping left inside the WhatsApp camera.

In the recent update, users can also undo “delete for me” for a few seconds.

According to the report, some accounts may gain the new functionality in the following weeks.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is said to be developing a new feature that would allow users to pin messages within chats and groups.

According to WABetaInfo, the function is useful since it allows users to pin critical messages to the top of the conversation.

If a message is pinned and the recipient is using an older version of the app, the app will display a message in the discussion asking the recipient to upgrade to the most recent version available on the store.
