The Nubia Z50 Ultra, ZTE’s second Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered phone, has finally been launched. Being an “Ultra” model, it has more features than the Z50. The device’s unique selling point is its notch-free AMOLED display with ultra-thin bezels.
The Nubia Z50 Ultra weighs 228 grams and measures 163.9 x 76.3 x 8.3mm. It has a 6.8-inch OLED display with no notch or punch hole to provide a full experience. The Z50 Ultra features a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16E1Q under-display camera with an extremely large 2.24-meter pixel size that was custom-made for the device. According to the corporation, light transmittance has increased by 30%. This enables the Z50 Ultra to take better selfies than previously. Furthermore, the AI super-sensing engine and image super-transparency enhancement technology help increase screen transparency for video chats by 50%.
Moving on to the rear camera, it has a 35mm, 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 primary camera with OIS, an 85mm, 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera with OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera that also functions as a macro camera. A ring LED flash and multi-channel spectral sensors aid the rear cameras.
The Nubia Z50 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 820 Gen 2 processor. It has up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x memory and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It has a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 80 watts of rapid charging. A 4212mm2 big vapor chamber liquid cooling system, a dual SIM card slot, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, an IR blaster, an X-axis linear motor, and a USB-C connector are also included.
