The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro first appeared in the Chinese market in December last year, and they have now made their global premiere as part of the MWC Barcelona show. However, the beginning prices of these flagships are higher than ever.

These phones have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets, Leica cameras, IP68 water resistance, and other features. The specifications are identical to those of the Chinese models.

The Xiaomi 13 has a 6.36-inch tiny OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and up to 1,900 nits of maximum brightness, as stated. The rear camera setup is Leica-tuned and includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 3x telephoto camera with a 10MP sensor and OIS, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor, making it a complete package.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro keeps the same display as its predecessor: a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 1440p resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Furthermore, the screen includes an ambient color temperature sensor, which adjusts the color temperature to match the environment.

The camera system on the back of the Xiaomi 13 Pro has been greatly improved. A 50MP 1′′-type Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS now joins a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom capabilities and a 50MP ultrawide camera with macro capability and autofocus.

The Xiaomi 13 supports 67W cable charging, while the Pro version supports 120W charging. Both devices feature wireless charging at 50 watts and reverse wireless charging at 10 watts.

Other similarities include Dolby Atmos-tuned dual speakers, an IP68 certified rating, and Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.

Price, Colors, and Release Date

The Xiaomi 13 will be available in black, white, and floral green on March 8, with the 8/256 GB model starting at €999.
