WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is introducing a user-friendly feature to tackle the annoyance of constant app updates.

In the latest WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.24.2.13), users now have more control over how updates are handled.

This feature allows users to decide whether the app updates automatically over WiFi as soon as a new version is available or receive notifications to download the update.

Users without the Meta App Manager may not have access to this specific update management feature through the app settings.

This new flexibility complements the existing option to configure automatic updates through the Google Play Store, providing users with more personalized control over managing WhatsApp updates.
