Samsung Galaxy Ring Will Check Your Fridge and Suggest Meals
Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Ring goes beyond typical smart wearables by not only recommending fitness and sports activities but also suggesting meals after scanning your refrigerator.
According to reports from Korean news media, Samsung’s Mobile experience division (MX) has collaborated with the company’s Home Appliance department to introduce Samsung Food to the Galaxy Ring.
This integration implies that the upcoming Galaxy Ring will have the capability to offer personalized meal and diet suggestions, utilizing data gathered throughout the day to track activity.
Samsung Food, seamlessly integrated with an intelligent Samsung fridge featuring AI vision, will provide tailored diet recommendations based on factors like calorie intake and body mass index (BMI).
In an advanced futuristic household scenario where Samsung appliances are interconnected, the Samsung oven will even adjust cooking parameters such as temperature and duration according to the recommendations.
Additionally, users can conveniently order ingredients through the Samsung e-Food Center. While these features sound promising in theory, their availability is currently limited to Korea, with associated appliances carrying a significant price tag.
However, this innovation might trigger a trend in the market, inspiring other companies to follow suit with their home appliances after Samsung’s success in Korea. On the other hand, Samsung Food is a widely accessible platform, serving users in 104 countries and regions.
Originally the app Whisk, known as the largest social network for recipe sharing before Samsung acquired it in 2019, Samsung Food is rumored to introduce meal plan suggestions once the Galaxy Ring debuts in late July, if speculations are accurate.
