WhatsApp has finally integrated the much-anticipated Meta AI chatbot, and this update is now accessible in Pakistan too.

This new feature doesn’t necessitate a manual update of your WhatsApp application as it’s a server-side modification. However, we advise keeping your app updated, particularly if you haven’t encountered the feature yet.

You can easily access Meta AI by clicking on the new search bar at the top, labeled “Ask Meta AI or Search”, or by tapping the new Meta AI icon above the button to initiate new chats. It functions similarly to ChatGPT as it’s a conversational AI chatbot designed to respond to queries entered as prompts. It operates on Meta’s Llama 2 open-source AI model.

By default, it provides numerous prompt options such as “Help set fitness goals”, “Solo travel benefits”, “Home maintenance 101”, among others, but you can input a prompt in the text box at the bottom. You can even interact with the chatbot using emojis.

In contrast to ChatGPT, Meta AI also has the capability to create AI images in under a minute, although these are restricted to a small resolution and are marked as AI-generated. These images can be effortlessly downloaded and shared like any other media on WhatsApp. Meta AI can also be utilized in group chats.

For some reason, Meta AI is referred to as “AI Character” on WhatsApp Desktop, but it’s essentially the same feature under a different name. The chat is synchronized across all your devices, so you should be able to view the same messages on your desktop that you have on your phone.
