Xiaomi’s first flip phone gets more details leaked, know here
Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce its inaugural flip-foldable smartphone, which has already been featured in numerous leaks, including a render from GSMChina. The phone has now surfaced in a more comprehensive leak from Android Headlines, which discusses the primary camera specifications and screen details.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip was initially slated for a 2023 release, but rumors suggest that the original model was discarded. The company is now reportedly developing a new model that emerged in leaks in October of the previous year. It was identified by the model numbers “2405CPX3DG/2405CPX3DC”. The “2405” in the model number could indicate a May 2024 release, which is the anticipated launch date. Alternatively, it could also be introduced sometime in June.
The primary camera will be the same as the one in the Redmi K70 Pro, a 50MP “Light Hunter 800”, while the secondary camera will be a 60MP Omnivision OV60A with 2x optical zoom. Given its foldable design, the main cameras can be used for taking selfies, ensuring superior image quality.
Hints found on Mi Code suggest that the phone will feature a smaller screen on the back, akin to the Galaxy Z Flip. The phone was identified on Mi Code with the codename “ruyi.”
Moreover, Android Headlines disclosed that the Mix Flip will have a 1.5K resolution, which is lower than the 2K resolution found on the flagship 14 Pro and Redmi K70 Pro. The pixel density will be 520 PPI, as opposed to the 560 PPI on Xiaomi flagships.
As the launch date approaches, more details are expected to be unveiled.
