Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 16 series later this year, promising significant design and performance enhancements. While not revolutionary, several incremental updates are anticipated.

In the upcoming iPhone 16 series, Apple plans to adopt a vertical camera layout, departing from the horizontal design of the iPhone 15. Reports also suggest the addition of an action button.

Camera capabilities are set to improve, with a shift from a 12MP to a 48MP lens, particularly enhancing photography in the Pro models. However, less substantial changes are expected in the standard model.

Performance-wise, the iPhone 16 will feature the new A18 Bionic chipset, replacing the A16 Bionic used in its predecessor. Rumors suggest that older iPhone models may not support Apple’s new AI, part of the company’s broader AI integration efforts.

Battery capacity is expected to increase, with the iPhone 16 likely sporting a larger battery, up from 3349mAh to 2341mAh. The launch is slated for September, though the exact date remains unconfirmed, and these specifications are based on speculative information.

In terms of lineup, the iPhone 16 Pro models are anticipated to see a size increase, with the iPhone 16 Pro at 6.3 inches and the Pro Max at 6.9 inches. This marks the first size adjustment in several years, while the standard iPhone 16 models will maintain their current sizes. Minor design tweaks, including additional buttons, are expected across both the standard and Pro models, aligning closely with their iPhone 15 counterparts.
