Apple delays M4 MacBook Air and iPad Air until 2025
Apple’s recently launched iPhone 16 series has sparked excitement in the smartphone world, but new leaks suggest that MacBook enthusiasts may need to wait a bit longer for the next big release.
Despite anticipation for new MacBooks with the M4 chip, a recent tip indicates that the M4 MacBook Air and a refreshed iPad Air won’t debut until 2025. While Apple’s October event was expected to showcase these devices, this development suggests otherwise.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro and 14- and 16-inch high-end MacBook Pros with the new M4 chip may still be revealed this month. Additionally, an M4 iMac and M4 Mac mini could be on the horizon.
Gurman also mentioned that a refreshed iPad mini is likely to launch soon, but fans will need to wait until the first half of 2025 for the M4-powered MacBook Air and the new iPad Air models, along with the next-generation iPhone SE.
