According to a leak from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, the highly anticipated iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch in early 2025.

Gurman has indicated that this new model will feature Face ID instead of the traditional Touch ID, marking a significant upgrade for Apple’s budget phone line. Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 will incorporate Apple Intelligence capabilities, providing users with enhanced functionality.

One of the most notable changes is the transition from an LCD to an OLED panel, which promises improved display quality. Rumors from Nikkei Asia suggest that Apple has begun sourcing displays from BOE and LG for this model.

While the iPhone 16 series will introduce Apple Intelligence features in fall 2024, the iPhone SE 4 may become the most affordable option to enjoy these advancements. Currently, the only way to access Apple Intelligence features is through the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Historically, the iPhone SE series has served as Apple’s budget-friendly offering, often using recycled components from older models, such as the iPhone 8.

However, the iPhone SE 4 will utilize the chassis of the iPhone 14, moving away from the dated design of earlier models. It is rumored to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, an Action button, a single camera similar to previous SEs, and 6 GB of RAM, elevating its appeal among budget-conscious consumers.
