Honor announces MagicOS 9.0 beta testing for selected devices

Honor has officially initiated the MagicOS 9.0 internal beta test campaign and has unveiled the list of compatible devices for this program. Users with eligible devices can take part in testing the new software ahead of its official launch on October 23.

MagicOS 9.0, based on Android 15, promises exciting new AI features designed to make everyday smartphone tasks more efficient and productive. This new software will offer smarter capabilities to enhance the overall user experience.

Here is the list of devices eligible for the MagicOS 9.0 beta testing:

  • Honor Magic V3
  • Honor Magic Vs3
  • Honor Magic V2
  • Honor Magic V2 Ultimate Edition
  • Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design

  • Honor Magic 6, 6 Pro, 6 Ultimate, 6 RSR Porsche Design
  • Honor Magic 5, 5 Pro, 5 Ultimate

For compatibility, Magic V3 and Vs3 users must be on version 8.0.1.173, while other devices need version 8.0.0.172.

MagicOS 9.0 Beta Rollout

Huawei will review and approve the beta update in phases. Currently, the company is recruiting 2,000 users per model for the beta test, with plans to expand the program to more users soon. This is an excellent opportunity for Honor device owners to explore the latest software innovations before the official release.
