Samsung’s upcoming foldable device, rumored to be called the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, was initially expected to launch on September 25. Still, that date has come and gone without an announcement. However, there may be new launch-related information on the horizon.

A Korean retailer recently revealed what could be the pre-order and release dates for the device, although it referred to it as the Galaxy Fold6 Special Edition instead. Whether this is a typo or the actual name of the device remains unclear, as the page is no longer accessible.

According to the retailer, pre-orders for the device in Korea will start on October 18 and run through October 24, with the official release set for October 25. It’s possible that the original September leak got the correct date but was off by a month.

The rumored Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is said to feature an 8-inch internal folding screen, a 6.5-inch cover screen, a slimmer profile (10.6mm when folded), and a 200 MP main camera. Despite these impressive specs, it seems the device will only be available in Korea and China, leaving fans elsewhere wondering about Samsung’s global strategy for this model.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see if these details turn out to be accurate.
