Samsung is preparing to unveil the Galaxy A26, a new addition to its mid-range Galaxy A-series, slated to succeed the Galaxy A25.

The Galaxy A26 recently received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), suggesting its imminent launch in India, followed by releases in other Asian markets. According to the BIS listing, the device, identified by the model code SM-A266B/DS, will support dual SIM functionality.

While the certification does not reveal extensive details, earlier leaks and benchmark listings have hinted at the smartphone’s specifications.

Expected Specifications of Galaxy A26

The Galaxy A26 is likely to feature a 6.64-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, marking a potential upgrade from its predecessor. The device is expected to have dimensions of 164 x 77.5 x 7.7 mm, with minimal changes to its design.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A26 is rumoured to be powered by an Exynos 1280 chipset, a processor also seen in the Galaxy A33. The smartphone will reportedly run Android 15 with One UI 7.0, and come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

A triple-camera setup on the rear is also anticipated, though specifics on the sensors remain undisclosed.

With its BIS certification complete, the Galaxy A26’s launch appears to be just around the corner, offering users an upgraded mid-range option.
