Google has announced the integration of its latest Gemini 2.0 experimental models into the Gemini app. The Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking model is now available for free to all app users.

This model is trained to break down prompts into steps, improving reasoning and response accuracy. According to Google, it also reveals its thought process, allowing users to understand why it responded in a particular way and what assumptions it made.

While AI models don’t truly “think” or “reason,” this feature helps users trace how Gemini generates its answers, making it easier to spot errors when responses are inaccurate.

For Gemini Advanced subscribers, Google has introduced Gemini 2.0 Pro, which excels at complex tasks such as coding and math. Google claims this version offers “better factuality”, meaning it is designed to generate more accurate responses while reducing errors.

Both models are rolling out on the Gemini mobile app and Gemini web interface. Google also plans to extend them to Workspace Business and Enterprise customers soon.

With these upgrades, Google aims to improve AI-generated responses and enhance user experience across various tasks.
