Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will give users greater control over voice message transcriptions.

As reported by WABetaInfo, the upcoming feature will allow users to select how they receive transcriptions for voice messages, offering three different options:

  • Automatic Transcription – Every voice message will be transcribed automatically.
  • Manual Transcription – Users can manually transcribe specific voice messages.

  • Disable Transcriptions – Users can turn off transcriptions entirely.

This update aims to enhance user flexibility by allowing them to customize their transcription settings based on their preferences. Currently, WhatsApp users need to initiate transcription manually for each voice message, but the new feature will let them set their preferences once and apply them accordingly.

WhatsApp’s New Customization Options

In addition to transcription updates, WhatsApp recently rolled out an exciting update for Android and iOS users, enabling enhanced chat personalization. The latest update introduces custom themes and wallpapers, giving users more control over their chat experience.
