Amid outbreak of the novel coronavirus, it seems like People have abandoned the most common form of greeting that is handshake and even world leaders are avoiding any physical contact.

Recently, German Chancellor Angela Merkel  arrived at a summit in Berlin on March 2, she approached the Federal Minister of the Interior of Germany for a handshake and in turn got snubbed by him.

Video went viral on the internet in which, Angela Merkel tried to handshake with the German Interior minister, Horst Seehofer but the Minister smiled and refused to shake hands with the the Chancellor and kept his hands to himself.

In the end, both can be seen laughing, as Merkel throws her hands up in the air before taking a seat. She also said it was the “the right thing to do”.
