Rock ‘n’ Roll singer Little Richard has died at the age of 87. Richard’s son Danny Penniman has informed to a magazine.

According to the magazine Rolling Stone, the reason behind the death was unknown.

Little Richard’s popular songs included Good Golly Miss Molly, which was made in 1958 in the UK.

He was born in Georgia in 1932 and his full name was Richard Wayne Penniman. The rock n roll singer was among the first group of inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.

His father was a preacher who also ran a nightclub, and his mother was a devout Baptist.

“I was born in the slums. My daddy sold whiskey, bootleg whiskey,” he told Rolling Stone in 1970.

In addition to this, his song ‘Tutti Frutti’ has made more than a million records. ‘Long Tall Sally’ was also popular. The singer had made a big name in the 1950s.

Chic co-founder Nile Rodgers said about Richard’s death that it was “the loss of a true giant.”
Richard had said to BBC Radio in 1998, “I was the biggest head of all, and I still have the biggest head,”

“I did what I did because I wanted attention. When I started banging on the piano and screaming and singing, I got attention.”
