Urdu poet Rahat Indori passes away

Famous Urdu poet Rahat Indori has passed away at an Indore hospital on Tuesday after suffering from two cardiac arrests. The poet was tested positive for coronavirus.

The doctors who were treating him said,

“He suffered two heart attacks today and could not be saved. He was admitted to hospital on Sunday, after testing positive for Covid-19. He had 60% pneumonia.”

Indori’s Twitter bio describes him as “Indian Poet, Painter, Bollywood Lyricist”.

Before he was admitted to the hospital, the poet had tweeted about him tested positive for coronavirus and requesting people to pray for his quick recovery. He further told the people not to call his family as they will be updated through his tweets.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi mourned the passing of “Indori Sahab” with his poetry written in Hindi.
