Geese dragged to their deaths by an mystery sea creature in the Lake District

After observing three geese being “dragged” under the water, one man claimed that the serene Lake District waters were under attack by a marine creature that was taking the birds.
Ullswater resident Wayne Owens is advising people to avoid the water, citing the fact that the geese that have submerged have never been found again.
The 61-year-old, who believes there is now a sea monster problem, cautioned off anybody with children and pets and even admitted he is too terrified to step into the ocean.
Despite Owens’ complaints about problems with sea monsters, a ranger for the Lake District National Park Authority has concluded after an inquiry that there is nothing in the waters.

“I was talking to the skipper when another two small grey lags maybe 5lbs each and they could not fly properly were dragged under. They had separated from the flock and ran across the water.
“The first one was taken down immediately, My skipper who has 36 years of experience was with me and said he had never seen any goings-on like it. Within 15 seconds the second one had been taken.”
Wayne claims that a crocodile or a gigantic catfish could be hiding in the body of water and that he is now too terrified to go near the water because of the rumoured lake monster.
“I believe something has been released into the lake,” he remarked. When I have told others about it, they have suggested that it might be a crocodile or a catfish.
According to LancashireLive, Wayne stated that while some people may think he is “crazy” for his lake monster worries, he has “nothing to gain from this.”
We are aware of the claimed events involving geese on Ullswater, according to a Lake District National Park Authority spokeswoman. Over the weekend, our Lake Ranger team searched the area but saw nothing unusual.
Also aware is the Environment Agency.
