A former NFL player and the coach of his college football team entered a record for the “highest altitude catch of an American football” in the Guinness World Records.

The highest an American football has been caught from is 188.9 m. (620 ft). The ball was thrown at the player from a helicopter by someone else. On April 23, 2021, the University of Arizona Football team, Rob Gronkowski, and Jedd Fisch (all from the United States) did it on the football field at the University of Arizona in Tuscon, Arizona.

Rob Gronkowski wanted to make one last catch for the University of Arizona Wildcats, and he wanted it to be a big one. This plan was made by the head coach of the football team, Jedd Fisch, a former player, Donnie Salum, and the production company Liquid Light.

Guinness World Records recently posted a video of the catch on Instagram. The video has gone viral, with over 276k views and 33k likes. In the comments, most Instagram users said that the catch looks easy enough that anyone, not just NFL or college football players, could do it.

As one user wrote, “I could probably catch that,” “I could probably catch that,” “Seems easy,” and the third user wrote, “Hold my beer.”
