Students call a math teacher GOAT
Students call math teacher a GOAT, people sometimes don’t understand and are confused by new-age or millennial jargon that is popular nowadays. A similar situation happened to an eighth-grade math teacher. She became concerned when her students referred to her as a GOAT. She turned to the internet for assistance, and her happy expression upon discovering the meaning has gone viral.
The math teacher outlined her position in a Reddit post. She revealed that her students had been calling her goat as a running joke all year. She also claimed that she was participating in a joke that she didn’t understand and that she wanted to know what it meant.
“Throughout this whole past school year there was this running joke where the students would call me the goat. And I would reply each time that they were goats and they would all laugh. It was pretty funny to be honest, and I never gave it much thought. But I realized that I had been partaking in a joke that I never actually got. I had a good connection with them, and they are all really good kids, so I don’t really think that they were making fun of me,” she wrote in her original post. “Can someone (maybe an 8th grader) explain this joke to me?” the teacher added.
Her post immediately drew a lot of attention and a slew of responses from users. Several of them informed her that GOAT stands for Greatest Of All Time.
“It means Greatest Of All Time,” a user wrote.
