People nowadays are more inclined to invest in mutual funds and cut back on frivolous spending. But do you expect a 7-year-old to be aware of all of this? A video of a girl discussing and explaining mutual funds has surfaced online. It has also piqued the interest of Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma.

Swati Dugar originally published the video on Twitter. The video included her 7-year-old daughter discussing what she plans to do with all of the shaguns she received for Diwali. The young lady stated that she intended to save all of the money and put it in mutual funds.

She also explained what mutual funds are and the reason to invest in them. And, she even claimed that she was going to invest her money for 10 years. The girl also informed us that mutual funds don’t always make profits. Sometimes, the investor also has to bear a loss.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, for one, retweeted the video with the caption, “Mutual fund sahi hai (Mutual funds are the correct way to go).”

Needless to say, the tiny girl’s financial literacy impressed netizens, who applauded her in the comments section.
