Queensland, Australia: A curiously moving microwave oven prompted an Australian woman to summon snake catchers after she spotted a couple of mating pythons behind it on her kitchen counter. Stuart McKenzie of the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers responded to the residence in Buderim and discovered two tangled-up pythons making love.

A video shared by the animal control office on Facebook showed McKenzie checking the elderly woman’s complaint, who was evidently under the notion that just one snake was involved.

“We get a lot of pythons at homes in Buderim but as you can see, this is pretty much the last place you’d expect [the snakes to be],” the professional snake catcher can be heard stating.

“There’s actually two pythons…”

“Looks like a male and a female snuggling behind the microwave,” McKenzie observes.

He hypothesised that the snakes snuck in through a window left open right behind the microwave for some “hanky panky” after basking in the sun for a bit.

After a brief pause in the sexual activities, the reptile specialist placed the snakes in a bag without separating them and eventually released them back into the wild.

Earlier this year, four giant carpet pythons took over another Sunshine Coast home in search of a partner. According to the emergency service, the homeowner reported a total of six snakes in a fortnight.

“It’s not very often this happens but during the breeding season, we regularly get called out for multiple snakes at one home,” the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers stated.
