After landing a monstrous goldfish weighing 67.4 pounds on his line in a carp fishery in France, a fisherman from the United Kingdom had his images go viral on the internet.

Andy Hackett, 42, from Champagne, was photographed by Bluewater Lakes, a carp fishery in Champagne, standing with his prize catch, a giant goldfish nicknamed in the area “The Carrot.” Bluewater Lakes released these photographs on Facebook.

The fishery stated that the goldfish was introduced into the lake 15 years ago in order to provide fishermen with something fascinating to capture; nevertheless, it wasn’t until the previous year that it was noted that the fish had grown to a size that was greater than 60 pounds.

Following the weighing and photographing of The Carrot, Bluewater Lakes published a video showing the fish being released back into the lake.
