Since seizing control of Twitter, Elon Musk has primarily been sharing tweets relevant to the dominant social media platform. That was brought to my attention by a user on Twitter who used a meme. The meme illustrates how Musk’s most recent tweets are almost all on Twitter and do not discuss any of his other initiatives, including his ideas relating to Mars. The post was met with responses from a number of people, including one from the tech mogul himself in the form of a tweet.

It all started with a poll that Musk posted with his followers, which asked users the following question: “Should Twitter offer a general amnesty to suspended accounts, provided that they have not broken the law or engaged in egregious spam?”

After completing the poll, he also provided an update in which he remarked, “The people have spoken. Amnesty begins next week. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”  It was in response to this statement that a user of Twitter created a humorous meme, which suggested that after purchasing Twitter, Musk had completely forgotten about his ‘Mars Mission.’ After seeing the meme, Elon Musk took to Twitter to respond, writing, “Mars plans are still moving forward.”
