Solution

Answer to the first math-logic puzzle: 10

We’ll call the left-hand side (AB) + (CD) and the right-hand side (A+B) + (C+D).

=> AB + CD = (A + B) + (C + D)

=> 11 + 11 = (1 + 1) + (1 + 1) = 4

=> 12 + 12 = (1 + 2) + (1 + 2) = 6

=> 13 + 13 = (1 + 3) + (1 + 3) = 8

Similarly,

=> 14 + 14 = (1 + 4) + (1 + 4) = 10

Second math-logic puzzle answer: 6

We’ll solve the first rows to figure out what’s going on.

We’ve got

8 = 56 => 8 x 8 = 64 – 8 = 56

7 = 42 => 7 x 7 = 49 – 7 = 42

6 = 30 => 6 x 6 = 36 – 6 = 30

5 = 20 => 5 x 5 = 25 – 5 = 20
