It would not be an exaggeration to claim that the globe is still celebrating Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup victory over France. Fans from around the globe praised the Argentinian players, particularly Lionel Messi, for their flamboyant performance. In the midst of the World Cup excitement, an old video of a young Lionel Messi has swept the Internet. It could perhaps be Messi’s first interview ever. Initially, Newell’s Old Boys published this video on Twitter, and thereafter, several social media accounts shared it.

In the video, Messi is questioned if he is aware of his selection as the Man of the Match. In response, he responds with “no.” He was then asked to elaborate on his objective. “Federico Rosso Griggini passed the ball to Lucas, Lucas passed it to me, and I scored,” he explained.

“A young Lionel Messi speaks after a goal-scoring performance for Newell’s Old Boys. This may be his first ever post-match interview,”  the video caption states.

Here is the video:

Everyone admired the fact that Lionel Messi, even as a young youngster, recognised the contributions of his colleagues after viewing the movie.

“The beauty of childhood. You can never tell what a child will become. This sweet young man turned into a serial destroyer,”  a Twitter user remarked.

Another user added, “Even at a young age he’s appreciative of his teammates in his goal.”
