In Pakistan, lavish wedding decor has become fashionable. Everyone’s ideal scenario includes a hall that is extra-lit and a stage that is richly ornamented. Well, an electrical spark caused the stage at a recent wedding reception in Gujranwala to catch fire. The event took place when the stage’s lights were on fire; the stage was covered in plastic flowers that caught fire. Everyone at the wedding was safe when the fire was put out.

Irfan Ahson, a renowned and gifted Pakistani photographer, posted the video. Irfan said, “Posting for public awareness. Have seen this happen a few times myself. Please, take caution when using cold fire or pointing the highly power lighting rods too close to plastic flowers. Don’t know whose event it was but hope all were safe”

Following the viewing of the video, many viewers expressed their worry. Many social media users expressed their opinions about the unethical behavior that occurs at weddings. The general public believed that despite charging millions of rupees, many marquees did not even supply adequate fire extinguishers or improved illumination for emergencies. They also expressed concern for the inexperienced staff members who were barely able to control the situation. People held the opinion that people shouldn’t also utilize firecrackers.
