UK has recently opened its first-ever Indian drive-thru restaurant. In recent years, Indian cuisine has grown in popularity around the world. In reality, Indian cuisine got 4.54 out of 5 stars in TasteAtlas’ 2022 World’s Best Cuisine Awards, placing it sixth.

According to the report, Chaiiwala is the first Indian restaurant to have a drive-thru. It was formed in Bolton by the Midlands-based company, which began in Delhi in 1927. It already has over 70 sites across the country, but the first with a drive-thru was just opened on Manchester Road in Greater Manchester town.

Sohail Ali, the restaurant’s co-founder, told The Bolton News, “This is extremely exciting news for Bolton and the UK in general as this is the first time the Chaiiwala brand has been created as a drive-thru concept. This is a totally new experience for our valued customers, and the first time they can experience our Indian street food in a drive-thru setting.” He went on to say, “This is the first time we have offered this concept, and we are delighted with the results. Using this blueprint, we are now actively searching for new drive-thru locations across the UK which will replicate the Bolton store model.”

Customers can get a variety of breakfast and lunch snacks here, such as Sweet Bombay Toast and an all-day Desi Breakfast. The menu includes street cuisine favourites such as Aloo Tikki Burgers, a Chilli Chip Butty, Chilli Paneer, and Mumbai Mac ‘n’ Cheese. There are also other drinks and desserts available, such as chai lattes, cheesecakes, sundaes, and sweet wraps. Karak Chaii, one of Chaiiwala’s most popular beverages, is also served at the restaurant.
