  • A family travelled from Dhaka to Agartala.
  • The second week of business for Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster spy thriller has begun.

There is a lot to say about Shah Rukh Khan and his amazing comeback, but why can’t words adequately capture the enchantment he sows both on and off the screen? We won’t ever know! But his reception in theatres speaks much about his influence on his audience. ‘Pathaan‘ has it all, from catching him for the first show of the first day to transforming movie theatres into dancing hotspots! As if this weren’t enough, the popularity of Pathaan drew fans from Bangladesh to India to see SRK in person.

The movie “Pathaan” has SRK fans lining up outside of Bangladesh to see it, despite some legal complications. The Dhaka Tribune said that Bangladeshi filmmaker Anonno Mamun stated, “Due to the complexity of laws, the movie will not be released any time soon. Apparently, there are two rules applied in case of importation of foreign films; one, no film from the sub-continent is allowed to be imported, and two, foreign films can only be imported if films from both sides are traded.”

The devoted SRK fans, however, continued to watch “Pathaan” as a family travelled from Dhaka to Agartala, Tripura, simply to see their favourite actor on screen. The owner of an Agartala movie theatre, Satadeep Saha, tweeted a screenshot of the family’s “Pathaan” visit. “This is really fantastic… people travelling to India from Bangladesh to witness Pathaan!” he wrote. We appreciate you coming to the Rupasi Cinema in Agartala, Tripura.

In response to the tweet, one of the family members wrote: “Hi Satadeep, thanks for sharing our post to everyone. I am from india and staying in Bangladesh with my family and working here. When BD government refused to release Pathaan in Bangladesh then we plan to travel nearest indian city to shower our love to SRK. Next Jaawan”.
