Twitter debate on Ayushmann Khurrana post on ‘tu-aap’
It appears that the controversy surrounding Mumbai residents calling strangers “tu” will continue to generate discussion. People went into full protective mode while creating their arguments in defense of the language distinction, in addition to the numerous memes and jokes made about the situation.
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has now added to the discussion with a clip from Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Prem Prakash Tiwari, a character played by Ayushmann Khurrana, was a native of Haridwar in the 2015 movie, which also starred Bhumi Pednekar.
In the video, Khurrana can be seen operating his tape store while listening to Kumar Sanu’s classic song Tu. The video clip has the ideal 90s atmosphere and is undoubtedly a mic drop for the “tu-aap” discussion.
“A rare “Tu” moment. roughly 230 kilometres from Delhi. Haisha, dum laga. 2015 or so,” the caption that accompanied the video stated.
